Hello there! I'm Ciara Butler, an experienced lactation consultant (IBCLC), mother, and midwife. I began my journey in nursing in London during the 90s, but my passion for midwifery-led me back to Dublin in 2000, where I pursued my midwifery training at the National Maternity Hospital. Right from the start, I developed a deep interest in breastfeeding, finding immense joy in supporting parents on their breastfeeding journey.

In 2004, I relocated to Co. Wicklow and joined the maternity unit at Wexford General Hospital. For a wonderful decade, I had the privilege of working as a midwife, providing care and guidance to families during this precious time. In 2011, I became an IBCLC and even took the exam just three weeks before welcoming my third daughter into the world! Since then, I have been dedicated to offering personalised antenatal and postnatal breastfeeding help and support to parents.

Through my own experience of breastfeeding my four beautiful daughters, I discovered that breastfeeding goes far beyond simply nourishing your baby. It is a profound way to connect with your little one on both a physical and emotional level. Breastfeeding creates a sense of security and safety for your baby while empowering you to respond instinctively to their every need.

I am passionate about helping parents unlock the full potential of breastfeeding, guiding them through the challenges and celebrating their successes. I believe that every breastfeeding journey is unique and deserves compassionate and individualized support.
